Support at Home

Check student agendas daily, and sign them when all homework is completed.

Read with your student or have them read aloud to you for a minimum of 20 minutes per night.  Ask them questions about characters and plot – this encourages them to think more in depth about the context of the book and improves comprehension skills.

Work on mental math speed facts. Roll two dice and multiply them, first person to call out the answer gets a point. Take a deck of card and play multiplication war, first person to multiply the number keeps those cards.
